Everyone who comes to the doors of Kingdom Come Training needs money.
How do we receive?
Do we have to give?
How we look at this subject may make all the difference in how you get to full funding.
First, let’s consider the difference between ‘Getting Support’ or ‘Fund Raising’ and ‘Partnership Development’. Understanding the differences could change our attitude and actions regarding the words Jesus himself spoke when he said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
When we give there are a lot of things that happen that we are not even aware of in the world of giving and receiving. However 3 specific things become obvious as we read in Philippians 4:17-18 where Paul begins thanking the church.
“For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account. Indeed I have all and abound, I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma and acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.”
Three things happened because of their gifts and in each there was blessing.
- Needs were met…Paul said that he received what he needed and He Got Blessed.
- There was a sweet smelling aroma in the sacrificial gift that was pleasing to God and He Got Blessed.
- There is fruit that abounds (overflows) into their account through their faithful sacrifice and They Got Blessed…and this was his greatest joy.
If this is true, and it is, offering others the opportunity to be involved in your ministry means, as Paul stated:
You will be blessed.
God will be blessed.
Your potential, new and existing partners will be and will continue to be blessed!
How absolutely exciting is this!
Begin to let all three of these three blessings become your ‘reason’ for sharing.
